The average person who develops the habit of setting clear priorities and getting important tasks completed quickly will run circles around a genius who talks a lot and makes wonderful plans but who gets very little done. ~Brian Tracy
Some days, I feel like I'm this genius who gets very little done. I have all these wonderful ideas & plans...but never enough time in the world to get to them. Each day, I walk around with my list of to-dos with at least 15-20 items on there. And on a good day I can check 5-6 items off my list. The remaining 10-15 makes it back on the to-do list for tomorrow. It seems in my head that I'm organized and I'm trying to prioritize, but somehow life interferes and I take a 2 hour - 3 year detour.
How do I become an average person and get my priorities in order? I need more time. And, a little help...... if anyone has any tips. :(
For two months now, I've been trying to purchase this environmental instrument that measures the quality of the environment in the workplace. Of course, this is not for myself. I still have no clue what this thing does or how to work it, but I'm doing this as a favor for my dad since he's completely computer illiterate and can't find an online dealer to sell him this instrument.
When my dad approached me with this "project" I wanted no involvement at all. He seems to always come up with these crazy schemes to try and export stuff to Asia. I, on the other hand, hate being the middleman. So I absolutely didn’t want to get dragged into this. This was not a field that either my dad or I understood. We have no idea what this instrument is used for nor do we know where to go about finding it. Regardless, my Dad had promised a friend of a friend that he would look into it and see if we can locate a unit at a decent price.
Lesson #1: No, means nothing to your parents. You still have to do it.
After ignoring my dad's daily calls pestering for a status update on the "project," I finally gave in and Googled to see what I could find. Amazingly enough, Google found me 10-12 dealers that were selling the instrument online. One reseller in particular had a refurbished instrument and was selling it at half price. Of course, my Dad and his friend jumped at that deal, so I made the purchase online with my credit card and they transferred the cash into my account.
Lesson #2: If it sounds too good to be true. Something must be up.
Two days after I ordered the instrument online I get an email from the online dealer that they cannot fulfill my order. The unit had been sold and their web guy had forgotten to take the posting off their website. Crap! What am I suppose to deliver now?!
Lesson # 3: Never go into business with your parents.
My dad did not take the news well at all. Blame was pushed around for the next few days as we looked for a solution to the problem. Desperate for time and limited with a budget (quoted price), we found a seller on eBay who had the same instrument on sale for the same price. Lucky for us?!
Since I’ve never really used eBay to buy or sell anything, I was very cautious and read each of the seller’s feedback comments. I also exchanged numerous emails with the seller and made sure to include on the contract our negotiated terms. She gave me the website of where she “supposedly” worked and told me that she would include 2 free calibrations for the lifetime of the instrument. Sounds legitimate enough, right?!
Wrong!
Lesson #4: People will say anything you want to hear to get your money!
It is now 18 days later.....and still no instrument. The seller sent me a bogus tracking number from the USPS with no shipping information attached. Each time I email her to ask her what is up, she gives me a stupid excuse and promises that it will arrive in a few days. Finally last week, the bitch pissed me off after she lied to me again. I gave her a negative seller feedback on eBay and told her to ship it or else.
Obviously, my threats didn’t work cuz I still don’t have anything on hand. I contacted PayPal yesterday and submitted a claim to try to get my 4G’s back. That’s right, the instrument isn’t cheap. If she thinks I’m just gonna just let her walk away with my money…she dreaming.
Lesson #5: Nothing in life is easy. Angela…you better watch your back. Karma is going to bite you in the ass!
The sad thing is that I’m not alone in this. After I left the negative seller feedback, two other individuals have contacted me to tell me that the same thing is going on with them. They actually purchased a product earlier than I did.
Damn people….why didn’t you speak up sooner! I’m glad that my seller feedback is starting to rally people together. Cuz, I’m sure there is a lot more of us out there. I just checked the seller feedback today…and that biatch Angela Casafranca has scammed at least 4 of us.
Lesson #6: Don't buy shit on eBay!
Why did she have to use an asian girl as her profile pic? I know that’s not her real face. Liars are never that pretty! L
My friend Nancy asked me today if I'm still blogging. Sadly, I had to say that my last post was in May and it was about poop in my dreams. I know a lot has happened in my life since may, but I guess I have once again neglected my poor xanga and traded blogging for status updates and playing with my pet on Pet Society.
Today I'm going to revive my online diary. I hope you will do the same. It seems that my whole xanga community has deserted xanga or they've deserted blogging as a whole. Stop your tweets and status updates and come back to xanga, friends. Update me on your lives and stories. I miss reading them. Save me from my mundane life at work. Help me notice the quirky things in my life again. I'm going to start linking my blog to Facebook in hopes of drawing my xanga community back. Come back...share...blog...comment.
So I was telling Yih-Wei today that I keep having this reoccurring dream where I'm trying to find a bathroom and I always end up at the filthiest and nastiest bathroom stalls. No matter where I go, it's always filled with shit or some nasty crap that you don't want to get your bottom close to. I always thought that maybe it was my subconscious warning me not to pee or crap in my bed, but today I find out that I'm not the only one out there that suffers with these sick ass dreams.
According to Dream Moods, which tells you the hidden meanings behind your dreams, there are other who have had the same experience as me.
Hello. I have this dream that I'll be needing to go to the bathroom, so I'm looking for a toilet. I'll go into a bathroom with a lot of stalls and every one I go into is dirty with poop, puke or it is overflowing.
This dream is very gross and I hate having it. I just recently had this dream and remembered I've had it before a couple of times. Is there any interpretation in this dream. If so thanks for helping!!
Thanks, Jennifer F. February 23, 2001
I have a setting that continues to reoccur in my dreams. The dream itself changes, but the setting is always a large, public restroom. When I go into one of the stalls, I notice that the toilet is very dirty, so I keep trying to find a stall with a clean toilet, but I never do. I have to end up using a toilet that is dirty. Also, the restroom is very large-- 30+ stalls, and very busy. The doors on the stalls are short and do not lock or close well.

Both Jennifer's and Brady's dreams of needing to go to the bathroom, suggests that they need to let go of some relationship that has ran its course.
The notion that they dream of bathroom stalls, which are often found in public, further indicate that they are concerned about how others might feel and how others will perceive and judge them. They are feeling ashamed and fear that the situation might get messy should they make their feelings known. They don't want to cause trouble and as a result keep things inside.
Their emotions have been pent up for too long and hence the dreams recur until they are released or acknowledged.

I'll have to start observing when I have these dreams to see which relationship my subconscious might be hinting at. Hopefully just realizing that there is something I might be surpressing will help the dreams stop. I don't want to wake up another day with a dream like that.
